Goal
It’s possible to offer a competitive application that provides medical treatment in various fields with the help of a very competent team of doctors and covers international patients as well.

Insights
User would like to watch tutorials to understand the app functions, so it will be convenient for the user to add a meaningful splash screen before signing up.
60 or above users mostly have eyesight issues so a simple and clear navigation system will be helpful. We can create different themes as well to solve such issues.
Signing up with multiple options is welcomed that’s why developing a less complicated signup system through which people can use their new or existing email accounts would be better.
A very effective feature of this app will be a simple emergency button, which in case of any emergency will connect instantly with medical help especially for the older people. We can create this system by connecting users with local hospitals.
Card Sorting
-
I have introduced a new category which was not present in my first sitemap with the title “About us” and the participants arranged all the cards under this category very well.

-
I got very specific answers in the “Profile” category as well, such as 80% of users want us to put the appointment booking option in this place.

User Scenarios

As Samreen is feeling sick. She wants to book an appointment with a general physician so that she can get a check-up for her dizziness and headache

As Mr Adam is a diabetic patient, he wants to keep his daily sugar level records in such an appropriate place that his doctor can see them easily during his monthly video call appointments.

Usability Testing / Rainbow Spreadsheet
Having conducted prototype user testing, I identified and resolved various issues by gathering feedback from users. This iterative process allowed for refining the design based on their insights and preferences.

Test Findings And New Solutions
Issue 1:
Adding a Review: Most of the participants tried to find this feature where your doctor's icon is available. (high)
Solution: A new navigation is added to add review

Issue 2:

Booking Appointment: Participants could not find the "Booking Appointment" button instantly. (high)
Solution: A new dashboard layout is created to make "Booking Appointment" button more visible.

Design Language
In the project, I established a robust design system and language to ensure consistency and coherence across all elements of the interface. This included defining a unified color palette, typography, iconography, and other design elements, thereby enhancing the user experience and facilitating scalability and maintainability.
Color Scheme

Accessibility
The app follows the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) regarding colour, typography, iconography and UI component.

Conclusion

Challenges
-
During this project my biggest challenge was to conduct the search process which gives me the precise insight from the users as well as the business perspective. I planned to conduct this process in 3 steps to collect enough data, these were competitive analysis, user interviews, and an online survey.
-
The second challenge was usability testing. I took this step with special care and recorded all sessions for deep analysis and iterate my design accordingly.
-
To achieve the perfect accessibility is nearly impossible , but I tried my best to make this application more accessible.

Future Steps
-
I believe that usability testing is a key tool in the UX journey. It not only helps us to find flaws in our design but also gives us a better understanding of users' actual needs and expectations from such applications. Therefore, more usability testing may lead to better design solutions in future.
-
In this app we can add some more features like creating a user flow that can be useful in any kind of emergency situation. Further, as it is a responsive app, its design could be enhanced to adjust with different screen resolutions .
